1 ) Apa Itu Adjective?

Adjective ( kata sifat )  adalah kata yang di gunakan untuk menjelaskan kata benda ( noun ) , kata ganti ( pronoun ) , dan juga untuk membatasi makna benda/kata ganti

2) Jenis-Jenis Adjective

• Descriptive Adjective

  Descriptive Adjective adalah kata sifat yang menggambarkan kondisi kata benda yang di jelaskan. Descriptive sendiri terbagi menjadi beberapa bagian yaitu.

a. Quality ( qualitas )             : Super, good, bad, beautiful, and etc
b. Character ( karakteristik ) : Arrogant, cheerful, patient, greedy and etc
c. Size ( ukuran )                   : Big, small , long , tall , high , large and etc
d. Age ( umur )                      : old , new , young, old , ancient and etc
e. Temperature  (suhu )         : hot, cold, warm and etc
f. Participle :
      Present Participle             : interesting, boring, amazing and etc
      Past Participle                  : Amazed ,bored, amazed and etc
g. Shape ( Bentuk )               : Circle, square, triangle, cone, trapezium and etc
h. Color ( warna )                  : green, red, blue, gray, white and etc.
i . Origin ( asal )                     : Indosesia , Australia , Depok and etc

• Limiting Adjective 

  Limiting Adjective adalah kata sifat yang di gunakan untuk membatasi noun dari segi jumlah dan posisi Limiting Adjective sendiri . terbagi menjadi beberapa bentuk yaitu

a. Exclamatory Adjective 

Exclamatory Adjective adalah kata yang di gunakan untuk menunjukan perasaan yang kuat seperti rasa kagum , simpati dan heran

contoh

      -what a poor boy!

      -what a handsome guy!

      -what a clever girl!

b. Demonstrative Adjective 

Demonstrative Adjective adalah kata tunjuk yang di ikuti oleh kata benda nya

 -This - That ( singular noun ) /kata benda nya tidak lebih dari satu

 contoh        *This is my red pen

                     *That is your home  

-These - Those ( plural noun ) /kata benda nya lebih dari satu

 contoh            *These are my candies 

                        * Those are your's

c. Article 

Article adalah kata sandang yang di letakan di depan kata benda yaitu : a , an dan the

-'a' dan 'an' ( Indefinite article )

contoh

* a hat                        * an apple 

* a bag                       * an hour

* a chair                     * an umbrella

-'the'  ( definite article )

contoh

* the big plane               * the teacher

* the case                       * the table

* the lawyer                   * the expensive car

d. Possesive adjective 

Possesive adjective adalah kata sifat yang menunjukan kepemilikan , Possesive sendiri terbagi menjadi 2 yaitu

-Possessive adjective from pronoun: my, your, our, their, her, his 

 Contoh:  Doni brings my phone,
                  Can I borrow your dictionary?
                  Our classes are beside the canteen

                  Do you know his name?
                  They have broken her watch
                  You have to apologize to their parents

-Possessive adjective from noun : Erick's , Doni's, Putri's and etc

Contoh:  Erick's pen is on the table
                The stranger steals Doni's bag
                 Putri's novel is quite expensive

e. Indefinite quantity 

Indefinite quantity adalah  hitungan yang tidak tentu yang di fungsikan sebagai adjective

f. Interrogative Adjective 

Interrogative Adjective Adalah kata Tanya yang digunakan sebagai adjective yaitu what, whose dan which

* What book ( what book is this ?)
* Whose car  ( whose car is this ?)
* Which pen  ( which pen do you want ? )

g. Numeral

Numeral adalah hitungan yang di fungsikan sebagai adjective

-Ordinal number ( bilangan bertingkat )
  * First, second, third and etc

-Cardinal number ( bilangan pokok )
  * One, two, three and etc

-Multiple number ( bilangan kelipatan )
 *Single, double, triple and etc

-Fractions 

Fractions adalah ( bilangan pecahan )

* a half ( 1/2 )                                      * a quarter ( 1/4 )
* a third ( 1/3 )                                     * three and a half ( 3 1/2 )
* three fourth ( 3/4 )                            * two-point nine ( 2.9 )
